  • Long time....

I didn't realize that I had not blogged in months!! Time has really flown this year. What's been going on?

-Moved all of my things to our house, but still have not unpacked everything.
-Played on a couple of volleyball teams-indoor & sand. Our fall league starts next week.
-Went to Gatlinburg, TN with my sister & her husband. We spent a couple of days in the Smokey Mountain National Park & also went to the Bristol NASCAR races. Loved the short track!
-Having another garage sale this weekend---hopefully the rain won't be too bad & we can sell a lot of stuff!
-Went to lots of Royals games this year & have tickets to a few more games this season.

That's all that comes to mind right now, but it seems that we're always busy with things at church, meeting up with friends, traveling or shopping for things for our house. Once in awhile we do spend an evening at home.

Please pray for my grandpa, his melanoma cancer has come back. It is now in his lungs & spreading.

I still need to get some pics up here, but I don't have any with me right now. Maybe in a few more months

  • The new Mrs. Diffenderfer

I'm now a married woman. From time to time it still seems odd that I'm actually married. Maybe soon it will totally sink in.

The wedding went great. My mom did a great job to make the sanctuary look beautiful. My dress was more than I could have imagined (also done by my mom). It was pretty much picture perfect for me. I enjoyed seeing some of you, too!!

For our honeymoon we went to New Zealand. Aaron wanted to go there because Lord of the Rings was filmed there. It was so beautiful!! The blue was blue, the green was green!! I would highly recommend a trip there for anyone.

Maybe I'll get some pictures on here soon from the wedding & honeymoon.

Our next big project is to get my house ready to sell & then get rid of it! Please pray this happens quickly. It's not fun paying for a house that you don't live in!

  • Wedding Week!

It is almost wedding time!! My parents are in town for the week as we do the final preparations for the wedding. I feel like things are under control, but there is definitely a lot to do! (Get the marriage license, drop off my ring, last minute purchases, bake the cakes, decorate the church & reception hall.....and a few more things)

I've been able to stay clear of all the bugs that are going around.....hopefully I can stay healthy!

I guess the next time that I blog, I'll be Mrs. Diffenderfer!! (Yeah, I know, it's a crazy last name! But, I'll gladly take it!)

  • 74 More Days!!!!

    A few things have happened in 2 months....here's a brief run-down:

-Took engagment photos at Loose Park in Kansas City. See some of the picture below. Let me know if you want to see all 300

-Spent Thanksgiving in Branson with my family. Aaron came along. We started shopping at 12 a.m. on Friday. Got some great deals on china & silverware.

-Hosted a Christmas Party for our Young Adults Group. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but with wedding plans, it was a day's work to get ready. However, WELL worth it.

-Started planning our honeymoon to New Zealand!! I'm so excited to go there. I cannot wait to turn off the phone & emails! The pictures are so beautiful, I look forward to seeing it in person!

-Finished up my invitations last weekend. I probably chose to do more than I should have. I really like them, so it was worth it!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!

  • Busy, busy month!!

I knew going into October, it was going to be a crazy month (not even counting being engaged)......I was right! The first weekend we threw a birthday party for Leesha. Kari Joedemon came to town for a visit. I had such a great time with her......never a dull moment! We were able to go to the volleyball game at CBC. We saw lots of old classmates. I went to the Newsboys concert that night. It was my first Newsboys experience. I'm not a fan of Kutless at all! We did enjoy the other opening group, NewworldSon. On Sunday, we played volleyball at church for several hours.

I ended up with a bad cold the first part of the next week. I somehow managed to make it through work, but it wasn't fun. I knew I needed to get over it quickly since Aaron's brother's wedding was that weekend & we were flying up to Michigan. I thought I was pretty much over it all, except a few sniffles. Well, on the plane up there, my ear popped & I mean popped!! It hurt really bad & then I lost hearing in one ear. Throughout the day I got it pretty much back. It was interesting talking with people. I would have to totally turn my good ear towards them! Thankfully I had almost all of my hearing back by Saturday, the day of the wedding.

I had a great time at the wedding meeting a small portion of Aaron's family. We were able to spend a lot of time with his grandma. That was the first time I had met her. Aaron was the Best Man & did a great job with his speech. Here's a couple of pictures:

    family

Left to right: Amber (Youngest), Aaron (3rd Child), Me, Katie (new sister-in-law), Adam (2nd Child), Autumn (Oldest)

    full family

A couple of cousins, aunt, uncle & grandma were able to make it....all from the Diffenderfer side.

The last couple of weekends we have been busy with Judgement House at Red Bridge Baptist. Aaron had to help me with my evilness....why was he give me advice??? We only know that the first weekend there were 2 decisions made to accept Christ as their Savior. We haven't heard from this past weekend. It was a lot of fun, just a huge time commitment.

Other than that, days have been filled with wedding planning. I feel that things are going well. I'd just like to have more of it done.......yes, I know it will get there.

    bouquet

Here's a picture of bouquet ideas that my mom has. She's going to do all the flowers for me. This weekend we're going to Illinois to look for a dress.
